About Goukaku Drive
Goukaku Drive is a free practice tool for Japan's Gaimen Kirikae (外免切替) — the written test foreign drivers take to convert an overseas licence to a Japanese one.
Why we built it
Converting a foreign licence in Japan is stressful, and most existing study material is paid, scattered, or only in Japanese. We wanted one calm, trustworthy place to practise the written test — free, focused, and available in the languages drivers here actually speak.
What we cover
We focus only on the Gaimen Kirikae written test — not other licence types. That focus is the point: every mock and every question targets the conversion exam, so your practice time is never diluted.
How the questions are made
Questions are drafted with AI against the Japanese traffic regulations, reviewed, and translated into each supported language. They are a study aid, not the law: every question can be reported, and errata drive fixes so the bank improves over time.
